Some packs are worth saving. Others are not. We open the case, read cell voltages, check the BMS and tell you which one you have before any money changes hands. A rebuild keeps your original casing, mounting rails and connector, so nothing about the bike changes except the range. Worn cells come out, matched fresh cells go in, and the original casing, latch and mounting hardware stay exactly as they were. Proprietary or discontinued packs get a second life this way.

CUSTOM BUILDS

Custom Lithium Pack Design

Tell us the voltage, the amp-hour target and the connector your controller uses, and we design a lithium-ion pack around all three. A 36V battery or a 48V battery is routine work.

More amp-hours means more miles. Where the frame, controller and BMS allow it, we raise capacity inside the same footprint or move a heavy sealed lead-acid setup over to lighter lithium.

Nickel strip gets spot welded, never soldered, so damaging heat stays out of the cells. Every group is matched by capacity and internal resistance first, which is what keeps cell balancing stable later.

Charger Compatibility Checks

Output voltage, amperage and plug polarity are verified against the pack before anything is plugged in. Charger compatibility gets ignored constantly, and a mismatched unit is a quick way to ruin healthy cells.

DIAGNOSTICS

Diagnostics On Packs That Will Not Charge

Silence at the charge port usually means a tripped BMS, a blown fuse or a damaged charging socket rather than dead cells. We find the actual fault before anyone spends money on replacement.

  • How long does an e-bike battery last?

    Most last 2 to 5 years, or roughly 500 to 1,000 charge cycles, depending on how deeply you discharge the pack, how hot it is stored and how often it sits empty between rides.

  • Can an e-bike battery be rebuilt instead of replaced?

    Yes, in most cases. Battery Power rebuilds packs inside their original casing at our Leesburg, FL shop, fitting matched new cells and reusing your housing, connector and mounting hardware so the bike stays exactly as it was.

  • What is the difference between a 36V and a 48V e-bike battery?

    Voltage sets how hard the motor can pull. A 48V battery delivers more torque and a higher top speed than a 36V battery of the same amp-hour rating, but your controller has to accept it.

  • How many amp-hours do I need for my e-bike?

    Amp-hour rating decides range, not power. Short errand riders are fine near 10Ah, while commuters covering 20 miles or more between charges are usually happier somewhere between 14Ah and 20Ah.

  • Can I use a different charger on my e-bike battery?

    Only when the output matches. Charger voltage has to suit the chemistry and cell count exactly, amperage must stay inside the BMS limit, and the plug polarity has to be correct before you connect it.

  • Why is my e-bike battery losing range?

    Range loss almost always begins with cell imbalance. One weak group reaches its low-voltage cutoff early, the BMS shuts the pack down to protect it, and you lose miles while other cells still hold charge.

  • Is it safe to charge an electric scooter overnight?

    Charging overnight is reasonably safe on a modern pack with a working BMS, though the habit shortens life. Unplug once the light turns green, charge on a hard surface, and never leave a swollen pack connected.
